The Story

Corbin Pern has spent the last several years cleaning up his act and being a contributing member of society. Until he finds himself in the middle of a serial killers games. A game that involves messing with peoples minds. When the killer threatens his loved ones, Corbin is given little choice but to play along. But why is the killer so obsessed with Corbin? Is it something from his past or is Corbin playing his own game?

WARNING: This story does have material in it that would likely be classified as PG-13 in the US or its equivalent elsewhere. Be aware that there is murder, violence, adult/mature themes natural to this type of story line and horror-like situations. Nothing to purposefully gross out anyone, but there are descriptions of what’s happening. While every chapter won’t contain these, I will not put a warning each time it’s coming. This is the warning! However, if I believe that a chapter is going beyond my initial classification and contains material that is more mature or graphic in nature then I will place a warning so that you can decide if you want to continue with that chapter or not. I will put a summary at the end of the chapter for those who’d rather skip ahead. I don’t anticipate this happening, but just in case… ;)

The Author

Hello. I am from Dallas/Forth Worth, Texas USA. I’m full time not live-in nanny. Meaning I take care of a family’s kid(s) for 8+ hours a day 5 days a week then go home just like any other full time job. I get asked this as people still think of nannies as house servants for the wealthy!

I am writing this story to help me get back into writing after having no imagination or will for two years. I know I have it in me and I hope that this blog gets me back into writing shape. My goal is to publish (not necessarily this story).

It would be extremely helpful to leave comments and feedback. This story is not going to be anywhere near perfect so I’d like to know where I can improve and what I’m doing well. Your thoughts on chapters will be very much appreciated as this is a thriller/mystery and I’d like to know if the readers are getting what I’m putting there or if I’m getting wires crossed in my execution. So, thanks in advance for all and any help!
